Saturday night is our time to gather, move, and remember the simple power of dance.
Ecstatic Dance Sarasota is part of a global movement of conscious dance communities where people come together to move freely, release stress, and reconnect with the body’s natural rhythm. With no choreography and no judgment, the dance floor becomes a space for authentic expression, creativity, and deep presence.

Journey Into the Jungle: Ecstatic Dance Experience
Step out of the familiar and into the wild.
This immersive ecstatic dance journey invites you to enter the jungle within — a primal landscape of instinct, sensation, and raw aliveness. Here, we awaken the body’s ancient intelligence, where fear, power, play, and presence come alive in motion.
We begin with a dynamic Prey vs. Predator game — a playful yet potent exploration of instinctual energy. You’ll move between roles, feeling the alertness of the prey, the focus of the predator, and the fluid dance between vulnerability and power. This opening activates your senses, sharpens awareness, and gently brings unconscious patterns into the light.
From there, we transition into a guided movement experience focused on releasing fear from the body. Through breath, sound, and intuitive motion, you’ll be invited to shake, stomp, and express what has been held beneath the surface — transforming tension into vitality.
As the music builds, we enter the heart of the jungle — a full ecstatic dance wave where you are free to move however your body desires. Expect rhythms that are earthy, tribal, and alive… guiding you through states of intensity, surrender, connection, and liberation.

We close with a gentle integration, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to absorb the journey.

Each Saturday night we open a welcoming container for movement that begins gently, builds into waves of energy, and lands in integration. The music journey can move through many textures—tribal, electronic, organic, soulful—inviting the body to explore, release, and come alive.
We offer this experience both in person and online, so dancers near and far can participate in the field of movement and connection.
In-person dancers can expect:
• A welcoming, inclusive community
• A beautiful sober dance space
• A shared energetic journey through music and movement
• Opportunities for connection before and after the dance
Online participants can expect:
• A livestream of the DJ journey
• The chance to dance from your own sacred space at home
• Connection to the wider global ecstatic dance community
Ecstatic Dance guidelines help keep the space safe and respectful:
• No talking on the dance floor
• No phones or photos
• Move with awareness and consent
All bodies, all levels of experience, and all forms of movement are welcome. Come to sweat, pray, play, release, celebrate, and return to yourself.
