Saturday Blindfolded Contact Improv Journey: Into the Unknown
What happens when you remove sight… and let the body lead?
This unique contact improv experience invites you into a world beyond the visual — where touch, intuition, and deep listening become your primary guides. Through the use of blindfolds, we gently dissolve habitual patterns of control and perception, opening the door to a more honest, instinctual way of relating.
We begin by grounding in the body — awakening sensitivity through breath, slow movement, and tactile awareness. As the blindfold is introduced, your attention naturally shifts inward and outward at the same time… heightening your ability to feel subtle cues, weight, direction, and energetic presence.
Guided explorations will support you to:
Trust your body’s intelligence without relying on sight
Listen through touch and respond in real time
Explore giving and receiving weight with heightened sensitivity
Move through the edges of uncertainty, vulnerability, and trust
As partners and group constellations emerge and dissolve, the dance becomes a living conversation — one rooted in sensation rather than strategy. Without visual identity, roles soften… and something more authentic can arise.
This is not about performance — it’s about presence.
You may encounter moments of disorientation, deep connection, playfulness, or stillness. All are welcome. The practice becomes a meditation in trust — with yourself, with others, and with the unknown.
We close by slowly reintroducing sight and integrating the experience, often revealing just how much was perceived without seeing.
An invitation to feel more, control less, and discover the intelligence of the body in the dark.
